At the beginning of this year, I wasn’t too sure where to go to next.
Last year was about taking the biggest leap and moving out of home and now that I’ve settled in my new-ish place, it’s time for me to get back on the road.
I still believe that whilst it’s great to take a plane and head overseas, there’s nothing like discovering what’s in your own backyard. Australia is such a beautiful and vibrant country but when you’ve lived here your whole life, it’s easy to take it for granted.
When my boyfriend and I went to Hobart last year, I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with the city but man, I was completely and happily wrong. I’m hoping that if Hobart can do that to me, who knows what other surprises I’ll find in good ole Straya!
So, here’s the lowdown on what’s happening the next few months:
- Climb my first mountain and reach the summit of Mount Kosciuszko
- Relax in Bali for a week
- Explore the Blue Mountains for my anniversary with my boyfriend
- Travel to Brisbane for a weekend getaway
As for the second half of 2017, who knows what will happen but I’m definitely excited to find out…
What are your travel plans for 2017? Any fun, new places you’re looking forward to?
